Cry of the Sea amulet

Cry of the Sea amulet featuring Iona marble, one of my favourite Scottish minerals 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🧜‍♀️.

According to folklore, once upon a time a mermaid fell in love with a monk and met him every day at the bay on the Isle of Iona. As the church didn’t allow their love to flourish, the mermaid spent many days and nights crying on the beach where her tears turned into beautiful green pebbles.

Legend says that this unique green stone offers seafarers safe passage across the water. It has been used on the island for centuries at a protective charm.
